Catapult
Lately, in engineering we have been working on catapults. We had to make a whole presentation and a document on the catapult. We got to cut wood and sand it down into the right length for the catapult. After we were done making the catapult we got to choose a partner to work with then we got to test our catapult. My catapult's launch or throw was pretty average. I really liked this project. Honestly, I thought engineering was going to be hard and boring but its fun and easy.

Dragster
This is a dragster. At first we had to make an online/virtual dragster on this website called Whitebox Learning. So we had to read all about a dragsters and how to properly build a dragster then we had to make a virtual dragster and race one online then we had to print a layout of the dragster out. You couldn't just print a dragster out without checking if it was in specification, once its in spec and you like it , you can finally race it and print it out. My dragster made 7th place on the online race. When most of the class was done with the online dragster we started to make a real one. The processes in making the dragster in real life was so much harder than making it online. their was a lot of sanding and cutting. I sanded a lot to make my dragster look round and slender. After I was done building and sanding my dragster we had to pain it. It took a long time to paint because we used spray paint, it needed like 24 hours to fully dry after every coat and I had like 7-8 coats to make it look super shiny and glossy. When most of the class was finished we decided to race it. It was a lot of fun!
